BIOGRAPHY
Professor Guerra graduated from UNIVERSIDAD DE LA REPÚBLICA (UdelaR) in 1991, received his postgraduated in labour social science from de PROGRAMA DE ECONOMÍA DEL TRABAJO (PET) and received doctorate in Human Science from the UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA DEL URUGUAY in 2001.
Professor and researcher as an Full Time Dedication for the Labor Relations Career, (Faculty of Law - UdelaR). Active Researcher of the National System of Researchers in the areas of solidarity economy and sociology of work. Coordinator of the Thematic Network of Social and Solidarity Economy at de UdelaR and former university delegate to the INACOOP Advisory Council (period 2012-2017).
Author of more than 30 books as well as numerous articles published in various countries of America and Europe. He has been an active promoter of alternative economies in Uruguay and the region, contributing to the creation of various networks and associative enterprises. He has served as an advisor and consultant for various social, popular, ecclesial, trade union and intergovernmental organizations.
He is married to Romina Gallardo and is the father of four children: Mateo, Santiago, Francisco and Bautista.
